Obituary
Thomas Henry May, 44, died Thursday, June 26, in Penn Run, PA after a brief illness. Mr. May was born in Johnson County, February 28, 1935 and was employed as a miner of R & P Coal Company, Clarksburg, PA. He was a member of Lonesome Valley Church of the United Baptist, Alger, OH was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict where he served from1955-1969 and a member of the UMWA. Surviving are his parents, T.H. and Rouie Williams May, Leander; his wife, Christine Ahn May, who he married October 2, 1957 in Korea; a son, Tommy May; 2 daughters, Mrs. Marie Wells and Ann May all of Penn Run; 2 brothers, Hobart Eugene May of Denver and Hager May of Urbana, OH; 6 sisters, Almeda Blair and Peggy Baldwin of Denver, Martha Blair of Cleveland, OH, Carolyn Blair of Barnetts Creek, Rosa Blevins, of Wittensville and Barbara Ratliff of Carey, OH; 2 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30 at Beechwall United Baptist Church, Leander, with Elders John R. Pelphrey, James D. Spradlin and B.C. Ferguson officiating. Burial was in Blair Cemetery, Denver, with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, July 4, 1979
