Funeral services were held Friday, April 9, for Mary Sue Preston May, 64, who died Tuesday, April 6 in Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mrs. May was born December 29, 1928 in Johnson County, the daughter of the late Albert and Alka Castle Preston. She was a member of the Eloise United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, McConnell May in 1972. Surviving are two sons, Paul May of Paintsville and John May of Louisa; four daughters, Janet Ward of Denver, Alka Salyer of Oil Springs, Connie May of Martin and Linda Styers of Columbus, OH; three brothers, Walter Preston of Nippa, Donald Lemaster of Bellview, OH and Martin Lemaster of Ft. Gay, WV; five sisters, Faye May and Ruth Perry, both of Louisa, Ruby Castle of West Jefferson, OH, Joe Smith of Fremont, OH and Hazel Tackett of Paintsville. Services were held in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the family cemetery at Leander. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, April 14, 1993
