Obituary
Columbus, OH resident John Tipton, 30, died October 27. He was born August 21, 1944 in Ohio, the son of Charles and Alice Slaughter Tipton. He was an employee of Sims Electric Company and a veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Lura Janice Spradlin Tipton a son, Charles K. Tipton; 3 daughters, Janice, Maria and Audra Tipton all at home; a brother, Ronald Tipton of Grove City, OH; a sister, Effie Malone of Dayton; parents in law, Kay and alma Spradlin of Denver. Funeral services were held October 30 in Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Elders Lonza Reed, James H. Blair, Rutherford Blair, and Jerry Colvin officiating. Burial was in family cemetery at Denver. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, November 2, 1983
