Obituary
Funeral services were held January 7 for Josie Hitchcock, 87. Mrs. Hitchcock died January 4 in Paintsville Hospital after an extended illness. She was born December 8, 1895 in Johnson County, the daughter of Camel and Emily Blair Caudill. She was a resident of Denver and a member of the United Baptist Church. Her husband, Benjamin Hitchcock, preceded her in death July 19, 1977. Surviving are a son, Wayne Hitchcock, Denver; two daughters, Lucille May, Leander, and Zetta Mae Caudill, Denver, one sister, Girtie Litteral, Falcon; ten grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Elders Lonza Reed and Jerry Colvin officiated at services in Beechwall United Baptist Church, Leander. Burial was in the family cemetery at Denver under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, January 12, 1983
