Obituary
JAMES M. SALYER, Of This City Dies Monday James Milton Salyer, 79, resident of Wood Street, died in a local hospital at 1:25 a.m. Monday, March 4. A native of this county, he was born June 14, 1883, the son of the late Jay and Martha Spradlin Salyer and had lived in this city for the past nineteen years. He was a retired Mayo Vocational School worker. Survivors include his wife, Adyline Caudill Salyer; three sons, Edward Salyer, Collista; Elbert Salyer of this city; Jame Salyer, Leander; a daughter, Mrs. Esta Mae Souder, Ontario, OH.; a brother, Blaine Salyer, McConnel, WV; Funeral services were conducted today at 11:00 a.m. at the Beechwall United Baptist Church with Lonza Reed, Millard O’Bryan, and Frank Adams as officiating ministers. Burial was in the family cemetery.
