Obituary
Lucille May, 76, died Tuesday, July 3, in Hazard Nursing Home. Mrs. May was born February 20, 1914 in Johnson County, the daughter of Benjamin Hitchcock and Vir- gie Spradlin and the stepdaughter of Jpsie Caudill Hitchcock, She was a member of the United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail May, in 1983. Surviving are two sons, Paul May, of Leander, and Jack May of Fuget; two daughters, Patsy Butcher, of Van Lear, and Janet Horne, of Paintsville; one sister, Zetta Caudill, of Denver; and 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 5, in Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, with Elders Rutherford Blair and Jerry Colvin officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Leander.14 - July 3, 1990
