Obituary
Jerry Goble, 82, of Denver died at his home Friday, November 2, after an extended illness. The son of the late George and Clarinda Music Goble, he was born on January 8, 1891. He was a retired miner and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Dora Goble, a daughter, Mrs. Opal Goble of Auxier; a son, Romie Goble of Jamestown, OH, two step daughters, Iva Joy Ratliff and Mary Mae Gore, both of Columbus, OH; two step sons, Richard Thomas and Clyde Horne, Jr., both of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Georgie Goble of Auxier and Obelie Goble of Jamestown, OH; three brothers, Martin Goble of Hillsboro, OH, Sherd Goble of Van Lear and John Goble of Auxier; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services were held Sunday, November 4, in the Liberty Baptist church at Denver with Reverends Scott Castle and Melvin Blanton officiating. Burial was in the Ratliff Cemetery at Denver with the grandsons serving as pallbearers. Arrangements were under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
