Obituary
Earl Thomas Ratliff, 47, of Blaine, son of the late Topsy Ratliff and Ruby VanHoose, died Saturday, July 25,1998 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was born December 15, 1950, in Johnson County, and was a coal miner. He Was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Lynn Ratliff. Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Lynn Ratliff of Hager Hill and Patrina Ann Ratliff of Wabash; six brothers, Topsy Ray Ratliff of Paintsville; Hollie Ratliff of Red Bush; Lawrence Ratliff of Tutor Key; Andy Ratliff of Blaine; Bub Ratliff of Urbana, Ohio; and Jay Ratliff of Indiana, and eight sisters, Ollie Southern, Martha Kidd, Ruth Ann Fitch, Dicey VanHoose, and Dixie Blair, all of Denver; Mary Pennington of Van Lear; and Ella Fay Ratliff of Middle Fork. Services were Tuesday, July 28, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Don Fraley and Dick VanHoose officiating Burial was the Topsy Ratliff Cemetery in Denver.
