Obituary
Mrs. Lydia Conley Centers, 76, wife of Tom Centers of Volga, formerly of Denver, died Monday morning May 23 1956, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Stapleton, Volga, following an illness of three months. A resident of Denver most of her life, she and her husband moved to Volga three years ago, where they had been making their home with their daughter. Born March 22 1880, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Sarah Reynolds Conley. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving besides her husband are one son, Adron Centers, Volga, three daughters, Mrs. Ida Stapleton, Volga; Mrs. Marie Ratliff, Sitka; Mrs. Della Fairchilds, Denver; two sisters, Mts. Julia Spradlin, Denver; and Mrs. Della Evans, city; 23 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the home of Mrs. Stapleton at Volga with Scott Castle, Charlie Lemasters and Adron Davis. Burial was made in the Spradlin Cemetery at Denver under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home
