Obituary
Earl Eugene McKenzie, 48, who died Wednesday, September 13, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mr. McKenzie was born July 5, 1947, in Floyd County, the son of the late Bill McKenzie and Mae McCarty. He was a mechanic. Surviving are his wife, Alma Ratliff McKenzie; four sons, Earl Lynn McKenzie and Bennie McKenzie, both of Magoffin County, Timmy McKenzie of Salyersville and Matthew McKenzie of Leander; three daughters, Kathy and Tena McKenzie, both of Magoffin County, and Lora Lee Tackett of Van Lear; six brothers, Austin McKenzie of Winchester, Paul Roosevelt and Clifford McKenzie, both of Willard, OH, Lonzie McKenzie of Carey, OH, Henry McKenzie of Indiana and Edmond McKenzie of Cynthiana; four sisters, Pearlie Faye Williams of Tutor Key, Shirley Cole and Kathleen Brown, both of Salyersville and Francis Pope of Carey. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 16, at Liberty Baptist Church, Denver, with Donald Ray Caudill officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Denver.
