Obituary
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 22 for Florence Weddington Blanton, 80. Mrs. Blanton was born January 20, 1907 in Johnson County, the daughter of Lee and Dora Blair Weddington. She was a member of Southern Baptist Church. Her husband, Albert Blanton, preceded her in death in 1975. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Blanton, of West Liberty and James William Blanton of New Carlisle, OH; two daughters, Janet McCarty of Jeffersonville, OH and Blanche Pelphrey of Denver; one brothers, Hershell Weddington of Denver; three sisters, Victoria Wilhelm of Tipp city, OH, Gladys Scott and Lucille Williams of New Carlisle, OH; and 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Rev. C. Hodge Hockensmith officiated at services in Liberty Baptist church. Burial was in Blanton Cemetery at Denver with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
