From the Adair County News, Feb 26, 1902

On Wednesday, Feb 5, death visited the home of Abram Aaron, Russell County, a husband and a father and claimed him for a victim. He was sick twenty one days, suffering with great agony, with that dreadful disease, dropsy. He bore his sufferings patiently to the end.

Uncle Abe was the son of Abraham and Cyntha Aaron, third of a family of eight children. He was born Aug, 1834, aged 68 years. Two brothers and two sisters survive him. Uncle Tom Aaron, the eldest, is in his 78th year and Philip Aaron the youngest is 57 years old.

He was a consistent and zealous Christian, a member of the Methodist Church at Mt. Zion.

Uncle Abe was married to Miss Ann Stapp in the 60's with whom he lived happily until his death. He was the father of 7 children, four boys and three girls.
