Obituary
Denver resident, Edna Blair Ratliff, 78, died Thursday, May 14 in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Ratliff was born September 22, 1908 in Johnson County, the daughter of Albert H. Blair and Julia Ann Blair. Her husband, Ellis Ratliff, preceded her in death in 1986. Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Ratliff, Elmon Ratliff and Henry Ratliff, all of Denver, Eulas Ratliff of Vanlue, OH and Ray Ratliff of Staffordsville; two daughters, Geneva Ratliff of Denver and Allene Soard of Osceola, IN; one sister, Katie Ward of Barnetts Creek; and 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 17 in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Williams, John Frank Ratliff, Herb Arms and Lowell Pelphrey officiating. Burial was in Ratliff Family Cemetery at Denver. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, May 20, 1987
