Obituary
Melba (BLAIR, Blair) Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Melba Blair, 88, of Denver, Ky., who passed away Saturday, Aug. 4 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky. Mrs. Blair was born Dec. 9, 1918 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of the late Crate and Jeanette Williams Blair. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Heburn Blair; her daughter, Leatrice Jo Blair; and one grandson. Surviving are two sons, Heburn Manis (Carolyn) Blair of Paintsville, Ky., and Davis Elwood (Wilma) Blair of Denver; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The service was officiated by Jerry Colvin, Rutherford Blair and Doug Ward, with burial in the Sam Blair Cemetery on Upper Twin Branch at Denver.
