Obituary
Rosa Lee Blair, 64, died in a local hospital, Sunday, May 13,1951, at 8:55 a.m after an illiness of five months. She was born in Johnson County, June 7, 1886, the daughter of Campbell and Emily Blair Caudill, and was a lifelong resident of Denver. She was married to Harlan Blair for 31 years, who preceded her in death 15 years ago. To this union were born 11 children, five boys and six girls, ten of whom are still living. Her eldest child Ruie, died at an early age. She became a member of the United Baptist Church in 1937, and remained a devout member until her death. Surviving are five sons, Estill and Euel, of Denver, Wallace of Christansburg, Ohio, Harlan, Jr. Collista, and Otto, Leander, Five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Weddington, Leander, Mrs. Emily Conely, Pierceton, Ind. Mrs. Josephine Blanton, and Mrs. Marian Hammond of Denver, and Miss Alma Blair, Cincinnati, Ohio. Also surviving are three brothers, Frank and Luther Caudill of Fort Gay, W.Va. Monroe Caudill, Denver and three sisters, Mrs. Adaline Salyer, Paintsville, Mrs. Josephine Hitchcock, Denver and Mrs. Gertrude Litteral, Oil Springs. Twenty-two grandchildren, also survive. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, May 15, 10:00 a.m. at the Beechwall United Baptist Church at Denver, with the Revs. Prater Blair and Foster Rigsby, Hammie May and Millard O’Bryan officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Denver, under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home. Paintsville Hearld May 17, 1951
