Obituary
Hannah Hitchcock, 81, died September 26 in Paintsville Hospital after an extended illness of six months. Mrs. Hitchcock was born November 11, 1901, in Johnson County, the daughter of Leck and Minnie Alice Hitchcock Baldwin. She was a resident of Hager Hill and a member of the United Baptist Church. Her oldest son, Freddie preceded her in death in 1975. Surviving are her husband, Eddie Hitchcock; a son, Willie Hitchcock of Hager Hill, 2 daughters, Bethel Blair of Denver and Betty McCarty of Wabash, IN; 2 sisters, Sudie Young of Lowmansville and Herma Lee Howard of Paintsville; 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held September 29 in Beechwall United Baptist Church with Elders Lonza Reed, James H. Blair and Ruford Blair officiating. Burial was in Sam Blair Cemetery at Denver with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. . Pallbearers were her grandson, Freddie C. Hitchcock, James W. Hitchcock, Mike Hitchcock, Billy J. Blair, Jerry D. Blair, Daniel H. Spears and Ottis R. Blair Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, September 28, 1983
