Obituary
Adyline Salyer, 84, succumbed to a lengthy illness last Thursday, June 6, at the Columbus, OH home of her son, Edward. Born in Johnson County on January 21, 1890, Mrs. Salyer was the daughter of the late Camel and Emily Blair Caudill and was a member of the United Baptist Church for 65 years. Her husband, Milton Salyer, preceded her in death in 1963. Surviving are three sons, Edward of Columbus and James and Jay both of Reynoldsburg, OH; a daughter, Esta Souder of Ontario, OH, 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a brother, Monroe Caudill of Staffordsville and two sisters, Josie Hitchcock of Denver and Gertie Litteral of Oil Springs. Funeral services for Mrs. Salyer were held Sunday, June 9, in the Beechwall United Baptist church at Leander with Reverends John Pelphrey, James H. Blair and Arnold Reed officiating. Burial was in the Sam Blair Cemetery at Barnetts Creek with arrangements under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home
