Obituary
Flossie Skaggs, 80, of Denver, died Sunday, January 18,1998, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was born April 17,1917, in Johnson County, the daughter of Jerry and Minnie Spradlin Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her, husband, Leander Skaggs, who died in 1953. She is survived by five sons, Ervin Skaggs, Claude Cecil Skaggs and Roe Skaggs, all of Denver, Cornelius Skaggs of New Carlisle, Ohio; and Vancil Skaggs, of Denver; two daughters, Anna Jones of Fairborn, Ohio; and Made Sheffield of little Rock, Arkansas; one brother, Dixie jefferion of Clinton, Louisiana-, 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were January 21, at Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Horn officiating. Burial was in the Sam Blair Cemetery in Denver.
