Obituary
Sam Conley, Jr., 69, died Thursday, May 21 in Paul B.Hall Regional Medical Center.Mr. Conley was born August 9, 1917 in Johnson County, the son of Sam and Elizabeth Litteral Conley. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Opal Blair Conley, two sons, John E. Conley, of Cynthiana, and William K. Conley of Tonopah, AZ, one daughter, Lillian Riggins, of Cincinnati, OH; two brothers, Frank Conley of Paris, and John F. Conley of Bradenton, FL; two sisters, Myrtle Williams of Mansfield, OH and Sybil Perry of Louisa; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23 in Southside Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Young officiating.Burial was in the family cemetery at Denver with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
