Obituary
Estill Dotson, 50, resident of Leander, died in a local hospital at 2:15 a.m., Friday, February 27, 1959. The son of Richard and Cynthia Conley Dotson, he was born in Floyd County February 13, 1909, but he had spent most of his life at Leander and was employed as a miner. Survivors include his wife Mildred Rice Dotson; a son Wade Dotson, Dunstable, Mass; a daughter, Sharon Dotson at home; three brothers; Edwin Dotson, New Boston, Ohio; Glen Dotson, Nashville, Tenn.; Lincoln Dotson, New Boston, Ohio; five sisters; Mrs. Ambie Blain, Leander; Mrs. Grace Williams, Newport News, Va.; Mary Hackworth, Riceville; Addie Puckett, McGuffey, Ohio; Lula Hackworth, Brainard. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday March 1, 1959, from the Leander school with E. H. Overman and Bruce Daniel officiating. Music was by the Toms Creek Quartet. Burial was in the Dotson Cemetery at Leander.
