Obituary
Funeral services were held Monday, November 17 for Mrs. Zella Rivers, 66. Mrs. Rivers was born June 11, 1920 in Johnson County, the daughter of Morris and Beulah Colvin Arms. She was a member of the Collista Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband, George Rivers, Jr., preceded her in death in March 1976. Surviving are two sons, Billy Gene Rivers, of Paintsville, and Francis Lee Rivers, of Paintsville, two daughters, Deloris McCarty of Hager Hill and Mary Spears of Leander; one sister, Imogene Rivers of Leander. Burial was in May Rivers Cemetery at Leander with Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were Charles McCarty, Greg McCarty, Tim Rivers, Mike Keel, Dwight Meek and Martie Endicott. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, November 26, 1986
