Obituary
Mrs. Lucy Combs, 63, died Friday, September 5 at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Ashland. The daughter of the late Lonza and Laura Friend Blair, she was born in Boyd County October 9, 1912. A resident of West Van Lear, she was a retired probation parole officer and was a member of the Professional Women’s Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Combs in June 18, 1971. Survivors include two sons, Warren, Raceland, KY, and Charles, West Van Lear, a daughter, Betty Fraley, Dayton, OH, three brothers, Roe of Pensacola, FL, Rudolph and don, both of Springfield, OH, two grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and six step grandchildren. Services were held in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, September 8. Burial was in the family cemetery at Leander with Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge.
