Obituary
Proctor Hannah, 86, died May 5 in Paintsville Hospital. Born August 27, 1895, in Johnson County, he was the son of Harmon and Liddy Arms Hannah, and was a resident of West Van Lear. Surviving are his wife, Maudie Salyers Hannah, two sons, Farrell and Fairy Hannah; Leander, three step sons, John Paul Salyers, West Van Lear, Edgel Salyers, Dayton, OH, and Brooksie Salyers, Columbus, OH; two daughters, Aminda Vandall, Charleston, WV, and Irene Norsworthy, Tampa, FL; and a step daughter, Marie Witten, Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Frankie Woods, Columbus, OH, 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild,. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 8, in Riceville Freewill Baptist Church with Herb Arms, Richard Williams, and Tommy Reynolds officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Leander with Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
