Obituary
Verna Hannah succumbed to an extended illness on April 10. Born Aug 19, 1892, Mrs. Hannah was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and the daughter of the late George and Julia Blair Rivers. Surviving are her husband, Walter Hannah; two sons, Marvin Hannah and Myron T. Hannah, both of Leander; two daughters, Adie Spencer of Leander and Shirley Robinson of Lucasville, OH; a sister, Virgie Hannah of Van Lear; three brothers, Verlie Rivers of Williamsburg, OH, George Rivers, Jr. of Paintsville and Hershell Rivers of Leander; 25 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah were held Sunday, April 13, in the Collista Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Herbert Arms and Steve Branham officiating. burial was in the family cemetery at Leander with the grandsons serving as pallbearers. Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
