Obituary
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 1, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel for Roy Caudill, 97, who passed away January 27 2003 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH. Mr. Caudill was born October 30, 1905 in Johnson County, son of the late Frank and Rosa Rice Caudill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Julia Stone Caudill; three brothers, Robert, Bruce and Frank Jr. Caudill; one sister, Margie Rice. Surviving are four sons, Lowell, Emory and Ben Caudill, all of Xenia, OH, Danny Caudill of Lebanon, OH; three daughters, Laverne Golden of Springboro, OH, Lois Beimly of Pompano Beach, FL, Wilma Ward of Riceville; two brothers, Homer Caudill of Pierceton, IN and Leonard Caudill of Staffordsville; three sisters, Martha Hackworth of Riceville, Gladys Rice of Troy, OH and Mildred Picklesimer of Dayton, OH; 23 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. The service was officiated by Dick Vanhoose and Roger Thornsbury, with burial following in the Caudill Family Cemetery in Riceville. Arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home of Paintsville
