Obituary
Frank Caudill, 92, passed away April 9 in the Staffordsville home of his son, Leonard Caudill. The retired farmer and former Swamp Branch resident was born in Johnson County to the late William and Mary Scalf Caudill. His wife, Rose Rice Caudill, died in 1962. Immediate survivors include four sons, Roy Caudill of Riceville, Homer Caudill of Pierceton, Ind., Bruce Caudill in Indianapolis Ind., and Leonard Caudill at Staffordsville; four daughters, Mrs. Sherman (Margie) Rice of Swamp Branch, Mrs. Virgil (Martha) Hackworth in Riceville, Mrs. Claude (Gladys) Rice of Troy, Ohio and Mrs. Payne (Mildred) Picklesimer of Dayton, Ohio. Also surviving are a brother in Disco, Ind., A.M. Caudill; two sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Howard of Garrett and Mrs. Lizzie Hackworth in Bonanza; 44 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. Services were held April 12 in the Long Fork United Baptist Church at Riceville, with Buell Ferguson, Lonza Reed and O.I. Williams officiating. Burial followed in the family cemetery at Riceville, under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jerry, Larry, Emery, Delbert and Kenrick Caudill, Charles Picklesimer and Delbert Hackworth.
