Obituary
Everett Arms, 76, a retired carpenter and painter residing in Paintsville, died Tuesday, April 4, in a local hospital. Born august 23, 1895, he was the son of Samuel K. and Sarah Adams Arms, and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Alka Estep Arms, he is survived by five sons, Orville and Alvis Arms of Chesapeake, OH, Billy Arms of Columbus, OH, Wayne Arms of St. Louis, MO and Herbert Arms, of Staffordsville; and two daughters, Everetta Bradley of Columbus, and Vicky Reed of Springfield, OH. Seventeen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren also survive. Two brothers, Raymond and Ray Arms, live at Leander, another brother, Grady, lives at Columbus, and a fourth brother, Beecher, lives in Baltimore. Services were held Friday, April 7 at the Rockhouse Freewill Baptist Church, with Richard Williams, Norman Roberts and Willard Wilcox officiating. Burial followed in the family cemetery at Denver. The Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
