Obituary
Harry O’Bryan, 83, died at his home at Leander, at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, April 7, following a year’s illness. The son of the late James H. and Renda Blair O’Bryan, he was born in this county October 14, 1878 and had been a lifelong resident of Leander. A retired farmer, he served as deputy sheriff for six years. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosa Lee Salyer O’Bryan, a son, Wayne O’Bryan, Waverly, OH; three daughters, , Mrs. Herbert May and Edna O’Bryan, both of Leander; Mrs. Thurman Spradlin, Orient, OH; a brother, Millard O’Bryan, Leander. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday from the home of his daughter, Mrs. May, Leander, with Prater Blair, James Blair, O. I. Williams and Edgar Preston as officiating ministers. Burial was in the family cemetery. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, April 11, 1962
