Obituary
Paris H. Fairchild, 68, retired postmaster of Leander, died in a local hospital Saturday morning, March 23. A lifelong resident of Leander, he was born November 1, 1894, the son of David and Martha Alice Trimble Fairchild. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nora Blair Fairchild; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Brown, Leander; Mrs. Guy Blair, Troy, Ohio; three brothers, Newt Fairchild, Orient, Ohio; John T. Fairchild, Penley, Ohio; Jim Fairchild, Peyton, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday at the Beechwall United Baptist Church with Lonza Reed, Vencil Pelphrey, Francis Blair, and Millard O’Bryan as officiating ministers. Burial was in the family cemetery. PAINTSVILLE HERALD WEDNESDAY March 27, 1963
