Obituary
Thomas S. Patrick, 69, a retired employee of Williams Grocery Company, died Wednesday, September 25, in a local hospital after an illness of several weeks. Born at Riceville in October 1898, he was a resident of Paintsville at the time of his death. He was the son of Rue and Emma May Patrick. Surviving are his wife, Flossie Burks Patrick, a son, Thomas S. Patrick, Jr. of Bascom, OH, and a daughter, Jacqueline Richardson of Betsy Layne. A sister, Mrs. Foster Frazier of Paintsville, also survives. Services were held Saturday, September 28, at the Third Street Freewill Baptist Church in Paintsville, with Rev. C. C. Hall and Rev. Claude Preston officiating. Burial followed in the Patrick Cemetery at Leander. Pallbearers included O. P. Williams, Jr., Bob Williams, John Blair, Rhule McClure, Mitchell Kimbler, Beecher Conley, and Manford Colvin. The Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
