Obituary
Elaine Pearl Brown, 98, of New Carlisle, Ohio, died Friday, May 2, at her residence. Born May 4, 1915, at Asa, she was the daughter of the late Paris H. and Nora Blair Fairchild. She was a member of the Old Hood United Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brown; and a grandchild. Survivors include a son, Darrell L. Brown of New Carisle; three daughters, Betty Jean Scott of Jackson, Ohio, Dorris Dean Brown of Medway, Ohio, and Cora Lee Moore of Tipp City, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 6, at Paintsville Funeral Home. Burial was in Brown Family Cemetery, Asa, under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
