Obituary
Gail Edward May, 63, died June 21 at his Leander home. Mr. May was born October 15, 1919, in Johnson County, a son of Willie and Leona Caudill May. He was a coal miner and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Lucille Hitchcock May; two sons, Paul May, Leander and Jack May, Fuget; two daughters, Janet Horne, Paintsville, and Patsy Butcher, Van Lear, a brother, Homer May, Pierceton, IN; four sisters, Mrs. Geneva Woods, Columbus, OH, Mrs. Jeanette Collins and Mrs. Rhoda August, Findlay, OH, and Mrs. Dessie Spencer, East Point, and 16 grandchildren. Funeral services were held June 23 in Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Donald Ray Caudill and Benny Taylor officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Leander.
