James Winfield
November 27, 1877 - January 7, 1966
Obituary
Winfield Spradlin 88, died January 7 in a local hospital. The son of the late William and Rebecca Harman Spradlin, he was born Novemebr 27, 1877. He was married to Mary Jane Selvage Spradlin who survives. A farmer he was a lifelong resident of Johnson County. Survivors including his wife are five daughters, Mrs. Fannie Williams of Mt Sterling, Ohio; Mrs. Dessie horn of Staffordsville, Mrs Dorothy Adams of Salyersville; Mrs. Daisy Shield of Lexington, Ind.; Mrs. Josephine Horn of Barnetts Creek; and three sons, Crate Spradlin of Springfield, Ohio; THurmand Spradlin of Orient, Ohio; and Vern Spradlin of Donaldson, Ohio. Also 37 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 9, 1:30 p.m. at the South Side Freewill baptist Church, Bill Davidson officiating. Burial followed in the Spradlin family cemetery, Denver under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home. The Paintsville Herald Wednesday January 12, 1966
