Obituary
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 21 for Alma Spradlin, 81, who died November 18 at her Bellefontaine, OH residence. Mrs. Spradlin was born September 17, 1912 in Johnson County, the daughter of the late James Wince and Rebecca Ellen Spradlin Baldwin. She was a member of the Caudill Fork United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kay Spradlin, in 1992. Surviving are three sons, James Spradlin of Leander, Kerra Spradlin of Denver and Phillip Spradlin of Falcon; four daughters, Opal Traxler of Marion, OH, Rose Hackworth of Vanlue, OH, Mae Salyers of Bellefontaine, OH and Lura Janice Tipton of Columbus, OH and 30 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. Officiating at services at Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel were Elders Shady Walters, Ellis Doolan, Claude Mollette, and Billy Howard. Burial was in Spradlin Cemetery at Denver, with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, November 24, 1993
