Obituary
Kay Spradlin, 77, died Wednesday, January 15 in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. Mr. Spradlin was born February 18, 1914 in Johnson County, the son of Dennis and Roxie Selvage Spradlin. He was a retired miner from ?? Branch Coal Company. Surviving are his wife, Alma Baldwin Spradlin; three sons, James of Leander, Kerra of Denver, and Phillip of Falcon; four daughters, Opal Tackett of Marion, OH, Rose Hackworth of Vanlue, OH, Mae Salyers of Bellefontaine, OH, and Lura Tipton of Columbus, OH; and 30 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 18 in Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Elders Shady Lee Walters, Ellis Doolan, Claude Mollett and Billy Howard officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Denver. Serving as pallbearers were his grandsons. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, January 22, 1992
