Obituary
Mrs. Cordie Spradlin, 74, died Sunday, October 15, in Paintsville at the home of her daughter, Geneva Lewis. Mrs. Spradlin was born November 23, 1903, in Johnson County, daughter of Thomas and Susan May. She was a resident of Denver and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband, Noah Spradlin, preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, James Spradlin and William T. Spradlin, Dayton, OH; three daughters, Lillie M. Wiley, Pikeville, Geneva Lewis, Paintsville, and Loretta Houston, Dallas, TX; a sister, Mrs. Marie Blair, Carey, OH; a half brother, Herschel Rivers, Leander; 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October’18, in Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Clarence Lemaster and Don Fraley officiating. Burial was in the Spradlin Cemetery at Denver with Paintsville Funeral Home handling arrangements. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, October 18, 1978
