Obituary
Thomas Spradlin, native of Johnson County,died Monday December 4, in Jackson Michigan, after a brief illness. The son of the late Samuel and Alice Cole Spradlin, he was born July 17,1900. A farmer by occupation, he had resided in Jackson for the past two years. His wife, Tava Spradlin preceded him in death in 1935, his second wife, Elsie Spradlin, survives. Also surviving are ason, Thomas Richard Spradlin, Jackson, Michigan, four daughters, Mrs. Mary Alice Burchett, Jackson Michigan, Mrs. Ella Spradlin, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Edna Butcher, West Alexander, Ohio, Mrs. Roselle Blair, Barnetts Creek, two brothers, Charlie and Vernal Spradlin, Jackson, Michigan, three sisters Mrs. Martha Ratliff, Barnetts Creek, Mrs. Cassie May and Mrs. Stella Adams, Jackson, Michigan. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday from the Barnetts Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Scott Castle and Charlie Lemaster as officiating ministers. Burial was in the family cemetery at Denver
