Obituary
Retired miner, Wayne Blair, 68, died Monday, July 4, in Elmwood Village Nursing Home, Ashland. Mr. Blair was born November 19, 1919 in Johnson County, the son of Albert and Flara Ratliff Blair. He was a World War II veteran. Surviving are one son, David Lynn Blair, of Paintsville; 2 brothers, Cecil Blair of Nippa and Raymond Blair of Cleveland, OH; 2 sisters, Dorothy Blair of Denver and Lizzie Young of Barnetts Creek; one granddaughter. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 9, in Beechwall United Baptist Church with Elders James H. Blair, Eugene May and Rutherford Blair officiating. Burial was in Blair Cemetery at Barnetts Creek with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, July 13, 1988
