Husband of Iva Joy Blair
Funeal services were held Monday, July 13 in Beechwall United Baptist Church for Turrell Blair, 77. Mr. Blair was born July 29, 1914 in Johnson County, the son of the late Furman and Shirley Lambert Blair. He was a retired electrician. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Joy Blair in 1986. Surviving are five sons, Lowell, Rutherford, Charles and Ottis Blair, all of Oil Springs, and Joe Blair of Staffordsville; three daughters, Garnet Jackson and Phyllis Blair, both of Staffordsville, and Sharon Colvin of Denver; two sisters, Lena Caudill of Mt. Sterling, OH and Valerie Tackett of Columbus, OH; and 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Officiating at services were Elders Lonza Reed, Sammy Reed, Melvin Wright and Eugene May. Burial was in Blair Cemetery at Barnetts Creek, with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. His grandsons served as pallbearers. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, July 15, 1992
