Obituary
Ella Louise Horne Blair, 91, of Staffordsville, died Friday, Sept. 19, at her residence. Born Nov. 5, 1922, at Portsmouth, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ruie Conley and Robie Horne. She was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Francis Blair; three brothers, Authol Horne, Charles Carroll Horne and Paul Keith Horne; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Survivors include nine sons, Francis Athol Blair, Gail Eldon Blair, John Leonard Blair and Ricky Roger Blair, all of Barnett’s Creek, Gerald Willard Blair of Wakeman, Ohio, Carl Junior Blair of Asa Creek, Robie Ray Blair and Phillip Wayne Blair, both of Denver, and Obie Neal Blair of Nippa; five daughters, Barbara Fern May of Denver, Phyllis Jean Dawson of Hager Hill, Katherine Lynn Meade of Flat Gap, Brenda Cheryl Johnson of Barnetts Creek and Pauletta Carolyn Adams of West Van Lear; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel, with Lindsey Meade officiating. Burial was in Blair Family Cemetery, Barnetts Creek, under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
