January 4, 1890 - July 9, 1970
Mrs Bertha Blair, 80, died in a Paintsville hospital July 9 after suffering a brief illness. Services were held two days later by the Rev. Adam Marshall in the home of her son, Carl Blair. The Paintsville Funeral Home took charge of burial arrangements in the family cemetery. Born in Johnson County to Daniel and Artie Allen Brown, she lived in Barnetts Creek and belonged to the United Baptist Church. Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her husband, Lenard Blair, in 1963. Survivors include two sons from Barnetts Creek, Carl and Gail Blair, and a sister, also from Barnetts Creek, Miss Lila Hamilton.
