Joe Blair, 56, of Staffordsville, died Monday, Dec. 9, at Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville. Born April 21, 1957, at Paintsville, he was the son of the late Turrell and Iva Joy Blair. He was a carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Preston Blair; three sons, Joe Erin Blair of Leander, Joseph Michael Blair and Joshua McKeil Blair, both of Staffordsville; a daughter, Ivy Mashell Blair of Staffordsville; three brothers, James R. Blair and Charles Blair, both of Oil Springs and Ottis Blair of Staffordsville; three sisters, Phyllis Blair and Garnet Jackson, both of Staffordsville, and Sharon Colvin of Denver; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 13, at Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel, with Doug Ward, Johnny Curtis, and Thirel Daniels officiating. Burial was in Blair Family Cemetery, Staffordsville, under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville. Big Sandy News Wednesday Dec.18 2013
