May 1, 1922 - October 20, 1981
Hansel Blair, 59, died October 20, in Paintsville Hospital. Born in Johnson County, May 1, 1922, he was the son of Dewey and Mary Blair. Mr. Blair was a resident of Denver and a member of the United Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Baldwin Blair; 2 sons, Toy Blair of Paintsville and Benson Blair of Denver; 5 daughters, Eldalene Haney and Ann Spradlin of Denver, Nellowene Fairchild, Vickie Wheeler and Burletta Ratliff all of Staffordsville; 2 sisters, Avonell Hitchcock and Eula Gullett both of Denver; 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, October 23, in Beechwall United Baptist Church with Elders James Spradlin, James Blair and Mitchell Baldwin officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Denver under the direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, October 28, 1981
