Obituary
Phoebe Anna Blair, 79 years old, died at her home at Barnetts Creek, on Wednesday, May 9, following an illness of several weeks. She was the widow of Marion Frank Blair, who preceded her in death in September 1944. She is survived by eight children all of whom were present at their mother’s funeral; Mrs. Dessie Blair, Wheelersburg, O., Mrs. Margaret Blair, Mrs. Bercha Picklesimer, Mrs. Delphia Harmon, all of Barnetts Creek, Lindsey Blair, Oil Springs, Ky., Martin, Buell and Robert of Barnetts Creek. One son Nathaniel died in April 1943 and two other children have also died. She was the mother of eleven children. Funeral services were held at the home Friday at 10:30 by Revs. Millard O’Bryan and Furman Blair, ministers of the church with which she was affiliated. Burial was made in the family cemetery by the side of her husband. Arrangements were under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home. PAINTSVILLE HERALD THURSDAY MAY 17, 1945
