Obituary
Mrs. Rosa Blair, 72, wife of A. J. Blair, died at 2:50 pm, Friday, July 4, at her home at Leander after suffering a stroke. She had been ill for six years. The daughter of Thomas and Emily Fairchild May, she was born in this county November 22, 1885. She had made her home at Leander for the past sixty-five years and was a member of the United Baptist Church. Surviving, besides her husband, are six children; five sons, Bruce Blair, Leander; Heber, Guy, Gail and Ivan, all of Troy, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Emily Blair, Barnett's Creek; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A sister, Nora May, New Jackson, Ohio and two brothers, Powell May, St. Paris, Ohio, and John May, Troy, Ohio, also survive. Funeral services were conducted from the home at 10;30 am, Sunday, July 6, with Millard O'Bryan, F. F. Rigsby and Prater Blair as officiating ministers. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery at Leander. Paintsville Herald Wednesday July 9, 1958
